Fire Department / Bureau of Fire Prevention
Fire prevention starts with everyday habits. Fire and OEM Director John G. Centanni, Fire Chief Paul A. Larena, Fire Prevention Bureau Chief / Fire Marshal James C. Cavezza, and Fire-Rescue Bureau Chief / Assistant Fire Marshal Chad J. DiGiorgio, along with the entire East Hanover Fire Department, encourage residents to use October to check the smoke detectors in their homes, talk about fire safety, and practice what to do in an emergency.
The Bureau of Fire Prevention will provide school and business presentations throughout October. Residents can also use the printable resources below to review home hazards and prepare an escape plan.

Small Steps. Lifesaving Habits.
