STEM Programs – Spring 2026
Posted March 24, 2026The Township of East Hanover and Built By Me STEM Learning invite families to register for engaging, hands-on STEM programs where students build, code, and create using LEGO® robotics and Scratch MIT. Programs emphasize teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in small class settings.
LEGO® Robotics & Coding – Adventures (Grades 1–3)
Mondays | 4:30 – 5:30 PM
Dates: 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18
Students will work in pairs using LEGO® SPIKE Essential Robotics Sets to build models, explore basic programming, and learn foundational engineering concepts with sensors and motors.
LEGO® Robotics & Coding with Scratch MIT – Crazy Carnival Games (Grades 3–5)
Mondays | 5:45 – 6:45 PM
Dates: 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18
This interactive program combines LEGO® building with Scratch MIT coding as students design and create carnival-style games (like pinball and mini-golf), test their ideas, and refine their projects.
Fee: $160 per student (small class sizes)
Location: Thomas Rinaldi Recreation Center, 5th Street, East Hanover
Registration opens tomorrow (3/25) morning at 9:00 am
