Mayor's Message on Covid Update: Tuesday, August 18, 2020

This is East Hanover Mayor Joe Pannullo with a special announcement.
Please be advised the East Hanover Health Department has informed us that since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, East Hanover has had 162 confirmed cases. Of the 162 cases, 142 cases are closed meaning that all appropriate protocols were taken; the isolation period is over and completed according to the NJ State Department of Health guidelines. There are 4 active cases; 1 is hospitalized and 3 cases remain home quarantined. Sadly, we report that there have been 16 fatalities in East Hanover due to the coronavirus since the beginning of the Pandemic.
We ask that you pray for those who have the virus and to pray for those families that have lost their loved ones.
We thank you for continuing to patronize our local businesses. I would also like to thank all our first responders.
We remind you and encourage you to continue to practice safe social distancing, and we strongly suggest the wearing of a mask.
